Dr. House: everybody lies

One of the most interesting things I have ever watched in television so far is House, M.D. What an amazing TV series! Watching it allows us to understand a bit more about human relationships, about the challenges we have to face, about the scientific method, and sometimes it helps us to figure things by thinking out of the box, even if the box does not exist... And listening to amazing music styles that House himself likes to hear.

I do not know how David Shore came up with this great idea of writing House, but what I know for sure is that he got it! The stories of every character are very interesting and some of his patients have singular and sometimes universal life stories. You can watch people lying for status, lying to keep their relationships working (even if in an regular way), lying to try to achieve a high level to what they think is very important in their life.

Besides that there is Hugh Laurie and his fantastic performance acting as House. This actor is simplement incredible! He's a Britishman but can speak like an American. He plays some instruments, he sings as well. But he makes Dr. House seems so realistic and so soulful that does not seem a role, it seems like House really exists in our real world!

As the time passes, House becomes more "human-friendly", that is, he becomes more akin of his fellows feelings. Although, he doesn't get much close to them. Even when he gets the chance to be with the woman of his life, he let her go, he's not ready to engage. The only thing he's ready to engage and that's what puts him in touch with the world is his work. Like he does everything to save his patients, he'll do the same when his (possibly unique and greater) friend needs him.

In closing this post, it's interesting to watch House because of the quality of his dialogues and his philosophy of life, because of the complex relationship between him and his team, because of the life story of everyone who features in the show (and how they deal with and face their personal ghosts...)... I mean that every episode you can find something interesting to keep yourself thinking of for a while.
